Legal
Terms
These Terms govern your use of onlinehearingtest.app. By accessing the site or taking the hearing test, you agree to them.
Acceptance of terms
By visiting onlinehearingtest.app or taking the online hearing test, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
The service
onlinehearingtest.app provides a free, browser-based pure-tone hearing screening. Features, test procedures, and availability may change at any time without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
Not medical advice
The hearing test is a screening tool, not a medical device or a diagnosis. Results are estimates produced by uncalibrated consumer hardware and depend on your headphones, volume, environment, and responses. They do not determine the type, cause, or degree of any hearing loss and must not be used to make treatment decisions.
Always consult an audiologist, hearing care professional, or doctor about your hearing. Seek prompt medical care for sudden hearing loss, ear pain, discharge, dizziness, or new one-sided tinnitus, regardless of any online result.
Safe listening
Set your volume during the volume check so the reference tone is comfortable, never loud. Stop the test and lower the volume if any tone is uncomfortable. You are responsible for using a safe listening level on your own device.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the site, disrupt the service, or interfere with our systems
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or automate access in ways that harm the service
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose
Intellectual property
The onlinehearingtest.app name, this implementation’s code, visual design, and site content are owned by onlinehearingtest.app or its licensors. You may use the test for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit our content without permission.
Results and local data
Test results — such as your recent audiograms, hearing scores, and settings — are stored only in your browser on your device. Clearing browser data erases them. We are not responsible for lost local results.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (for example, page views and test start or completion events). This helps us improve onlinehearingtest.app. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimer of warranties
The site and hearing test are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, onlinehearingtest.app and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or progress, arising from your use of the site or the hearing test, or from any decision made on the basis of a test result.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.
